Medindia news on the most caring doctors of the world released by World Medical Association that includes the IMA president Dr. Sanjiv Malik, Caring Physicians of the World.
Indian doctor Dr.Sanjiv Malik is among 65 "caring" physicians of the world listed in a new book released by the World Medical Association (WMA).
The Indian doctors form the backbone of health services of many countries including the UK and USA are very popular abroad due to their caring attitude. In India though some of them are now becoming somewhat commercial, there are still a majority who are very popular with their patientsDr.Malik works in a village on the outskirt of Delhi and has been treating the most underprivileged sections of society. He has also fought for the right of doctors as the chairman of the All India Resident Doctors Association.
The book - "Caring Physicians of the World" - profiles 65 physicians, including Malik, from 55 countries who best reflect the principles of caring, ethics and science, said an IMA statement Saturday.
Dr.Malik has been bestowed with B.C. Roy national award and has organized free health check-ups and treatment camps under the National Health Foundation, a charity trust. He also spearheaded a movement against female feticide in India.
