According to the latest CDC report, the infant mortality rates in the US are rising significantly. The U.S is lagging behind Cuba and is on par with Slovakia and Poland in this parameter.

Nearly seven U.S. babies die out of every 1,000 live births, the report said. CDC researchers Marian F. MacDorman, PhD, and T.J. Mathews added that the situation was worrisome, "The U.S. infant mortality rate is higher than rates in most other developed countries. The relative position of the United States in comparison to countries with the lowest infant mortality rates appears to be worsening."

Top of the list was Singapore with 2 babies dying out of a 1,000 live births. The worst was Romania ranked 37th with 16.8 babies dying out of a 1,000 live births.
