And 18 per cent of the insomniacs averaged less than five hours of Zs a night.There's a substantial number of Canadians -- 13 per cent -- that have insomnia, Margot Shields, a senior analyst at Statistics Canada, said as survey results were released yesterday.
Altogether, about 37,000 people age 15 and over in the 2002 Canadian Community Health Survey were asked: How often do you have trouble going to sleep or staying asleep?
