Health Minister Mary Harney said that he would speak with the government for the introduction of a Bill to address insurance difficulties faced by people infected with these diseases while administering blood and blood products.This is one way of providing support to these patients especially women.
These people suffer from the problem of not able to buy life insurance or mortgage protection policies because of their infection.
Along with this Bill three forms of recompense would be provided compensation, a special health card and life assurance support.
