Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan the lead spokeswoman for the IOF womens roundtable has asked women from all over the world to make osteoporosis a healthcare priority in their country.
IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis (IOF WCO) 2006 will be held in Toronto, Canada, June 2-6 2006. Eleven of the world's leading osteoporosis experts will present plenary lectures. Professor Rene Rizzoli, Chairman, IOF Committee of Scientific Advisors and Chairman, IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis 2006 Scientific Committee said that the speakers were selected for their ability to present the latest science in a format that will be useful for the thousands professionals who will attend the IOF WCO.
Coinciding with the scientific IOF World Congress on Osteoporosis, the 2nd IOF Women Leaders Roundtable will also be held in Toronto, Canada, on Friday, June 2, 2006. Named as Strong Bones, Strong Women the roundtable is led by the IOF's patron, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan. She said that this global roundtable is a call for all women worldwide to take charge of their bone health and to make osteoporosis a healthcare priority in their country. Ten women representing all areas of the world, from backgrounds as diverse as media, fashion, politics, medicine, law and philanthropy, will form the 2nd IOF Women Leaders Roundtable.
