The health department is taking measures to effectively deal with swine flu and sanctioned Rs 1.25 lakh to stock swine flu medicines at District Hospitals.

Health officials in Noida were directed by the District magistrate, NP Singh to set up an isolation ward for swine flu patients in District Hospital, and sanctioned Rs. 1.25 lakh for swine flu medicines. The administration is preparing for an outbreak. No swine flu cases have been reported in the district so far.
Swine flu is a respiratory disease caused by influenza virus. Swine flu symptoms are similar to most influenza infections fever, cough, fatigue and headache.Health department is taking measures to effectively deal with swine flu. District Hospital in Noida is planning on an isolation ward to deal with swine flu patients. Health department and District Hospital officials would stock up on medicines to treat swine flu.

N M Mathur, chief medical superintendent of district hospital, said he has written to Noida authority to set up the isolation ward. "We hope to get approval from the authority soon. We had made an isolation ward last year. The ward will be refurnished and used for swine flu patients," said Mathur.
