James Cook University urges more medical seats

James Cook University Vice Chancellor urges the Federal Government to increase the medical seats in the University.

Mr. Bernard Moulden, Vice Chancellor of James Cook University's (JCU) has urged the Health Minister Tony Abbott to increase the medical seats in the University which will help to produce more doctors to serve the country on the occasion of its graduation day. James Cook University is Australia's premier tropical university which is leading internationally in teaching and research. The University is named after the British explorer, Captain James Cook.

The graduation day is to be attended by the Governor Quentin Bryce and Government officials. The Vice chancellor Mr. Moulden feels this is right time for the federal Government to approve the increase in number of medical students in James Cook University without any political hindrance, as it will help to produce more expertise students in the medical profession who could serve the country.
