Kannada Actor Shivarajkumar Hospitalized, No Threat to Health

Kannada actor Shivarajkumar was admitted to a private hospital after he complained of fatigue and pain in his right shoulder on Tuesday (October 6, 2015). According to reports from Karnataka, doctors treating the actor ruled out rumors of a heart attack and said his condition was stable.

The actor suffered pain in the shoulder at about 10.15 am during a workout session in his residence. Immediately he was rushed to the nearby Columbia Asia Hospital in Hebbal. He was later shifted to Mallya Hospital, where he is currently being taken care of.

“Shivarajkumar is fine. We had to move him from Columbia Asia to Mallya Hospital as our family doctor is here. His condition is not serious. He complained of pain in the right side of the body following which we took him to the hospital,” said Geetha Shivarajkumar, wife of the actor. V K Srinivas, head, Cardiac Sciences, Mallya Hospital said that the actor underwent an  electrocardiogram (ECG) and angiogram.

“The actor usually has a half-an-hour workout at the gym. On Tuesday, he had finished his treadmill cross-trainer session. Before he could wind up his exercise routine, he complained of pain and was brought to Mallya Hospital. He underwent an  electrocardiogram (ECG) and angiogram. There is no need for surgical intervention. It was not a heart attack,” Srinivas said.
