There’s a Kind of Resistance Because Cancer is so Scary: Ken Burns
A documentary film titled Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies produced by documentarian Ken Burns and directed by Barak Goodman is a six-hour documentary featuring about the history and science of cancer.
The film also features the stories of cancer patients as they endure treatments to fight cancer. The film follows the story of the very first child ever to receive a new treatment to attack cancer cells.

Ken Burns said, “We’re not really honest with each other. We know about heart disease. We know about diabetes. We know about other things, but there’s a kind of resistance because cancer is so scary.”

Goodman said,  "The film is a good-news story. Where we end up after the three episodes and six hours is a place of a lot of hope, and hard-won hope that has come at the cost of a lot of lives."

The documentary makers hope that the advance of new research outdates the film soon.
