KFC Forced To 'Chicken Out' Its Ad: Under Fire For Misleading Delivery Claims

KFC has come under fire over misleading claims that fresh chicken is delivered to each of its branch on a daily basis.

Finger lickin' good? Not every day, apparently! KFC has come under fire over "misleading" claims that fresh chicken is delivered to each of its branch on a daily basis.

The fast food chain broadcast an advertisement, saying: "KFC. Fresh, on the bone chicken, every store, every day."

But the Advertising Standards Authority discovered that since the meat was delivered to branches only three times a week, the claim in the advertisement did not stand true.

"We understood that chicken on the bone was delivered three times a week to KFC restaurants," Sky News quoted it saying.

"However, we considered the claims 'came in fresh this morning' and 'fresh chicken on the bone, every store, every day' implied that the chicken was delivered daily.

"We concluded that the ad was likely to give viewers a misleading impression of the frequency of deliveries," it was added.
