Canadian actor Kiefer Sutherland is set to be released from jail on Jan 21, Monday, after serving 48 days for a drink and driving charge.
Kiefer, according to police officer John Balian, created no hassles at all during his time in jail and carried out his sentence by cleaning sheets, pillowcases and blankets on laundry duty, reports Contactmusic. The 41-year-old pleaded no contest to the drinking and driving charges against him at the end of last year.
The court sentenced him to 30 days for the recent offence and another 18 days for violating probation from a 2004 drink-driving arrest.
Authorities agreed to his request to serve his time in California's Glendale's jail rather than in the overcrowded Los Angeles County jail.
But in exchange for that, he could not receive any time off his sentence for good behaviour.
