It seems that Kylie Minogue is determined to realise her dream of starting a family.

According to reports, the Aussie singer is set to undergo a revolutionary new treatment to help her have her own baby.

The 39-year-old conquered breast cancer through chemotherapy last year, however, the treatment reduced her chances of conceiving a child naturally.

Now that Kylie has reportedly rekindled her relationship with on-off boyfriend, actor Olivier Martinez, she is desperate to have children, and thus is contemplating a new operation that will help her get pregnant.

Sources have revealed that the singer has spoken to medics about the possibility of having the operation 'in the near future'.

'She knows that time isn’t standing still and wants to start a family sooner rather than later,' The Sun quoted a friend, as saying.

'She’s been taking advice on whether she’s physically fit enough now, and whether medical science is advanced enough, for her to consider going ahead with the operation,' the friend added.

Kylie, who has had two failed IVF attempts with Martinez when she was first diagnosed with cancer in May 2005, has confided in pals that she is 'distraught' at the thought of never having a baby.

The pal revealed that though the singer has been talking to Olivier about their future together, she is ready to raise the baby alone if things don’t work out between the two.

'Kylie has been talking to Olivier lately and has raised the subject of getting back together. They haven’t come to an agreement yet but Kylie is willing to go it alone and be a single mum if that’s what it takes,' the friend said.
