Google, the Mountain View, Calif.-based company is one of the leading search engines is sued for advertising child pornography. Hence Long Island politician sued Google. He said that the company is profiting billions of dollars from illegal child pornography. Jeffrey Toback, a member of the Nassau County Legislature accused Google of paying the websites that contains pornography involving minors. In regard to this a legal complaint is filed in state Supreme Court in Mineola.
But the Google spokesman denied the allegations and said that a number of steps are taken to prevent access to child pornography. Another spokesman Steve Langdon said that the search engine offers a service called SafeSearch. In this it filters out adult contents and provides the users for the information they are searching. But this lawsuit only calls Google as a of child pornography in the world and avoids names of other search engines such as Yahoo Inc. or Microsoft Corp.'s MSN. In conclusion the lawsuit does not demand for any monetary damages, but asks Google to stop advertising that provide illegal access to pornography.
