According to the poll, an impressive 57 per cent of lefties pass first time compared with 47 per cent of right-handers.Only five per cent of left-handers feel they are at a disadvantage in learning to drive, the poll revealed.
The study also revealed that 27 per cent of the total polled believed that cars were designed with right-handers in mind.
"Scientists have hypothesized for years that left-handers are quicker to learn," The Sun quoted Simon Douglas, director of the AA Driving School, as saying.
