 Life Expectancy Improves Among Brits
Recent statistics point to an improvement in life expectancy by more than two years for both sexes, the department of health reported.
Women can now hope to live to 82.6 years compared to 80.4 years just 10 years ago. Life expectancy of males also went up from 75.6 years to 78.4 in 2008.

The main reason for this improved life expectancy is the reduction in the number of deaths from heart attacks and strokes, reduced by 40% in the last 10 years.
