Long Commuting Hours Could Shorten Marital Life
Researchers at Umea University in Sweden have discovered one solid reason why long commuting hours should strictly be avoided. Apparently, research has found that couples among whom atleast one partner commuted for more than 45 minutes from place of work to home, have a 40% chance of divorce.
Though researchers could not pinpoint the reason for this, clues indicate that resentment may arise if one partner felt overworked with chores at home or child care.

Resentment in the relationship could well come up with increasing levels of stress, lack of time for oneself, no time for exercise and obesity.

Feeling stretched for time due to long hours spent on commute can make people angry and irritable, thus affecting the mood in relationships. When such feelings are present for a long time, without a solution in sight, they can impact the longevity of marriage.
