Advanced Medical Institute's tactics in advertising its erectile dysfunction services have come under severe criticism. A House of Representatives public hearing was told of a number of allegations against AMI last week, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Professor David Handelsman, the head of andrology at Concord Hospital's ANZAC Research Institute told the hearing that AMI's claims of success were a "carefully constructed legal fiction"."I've got to say, one of the most scarifying experiences as a medical practitioner I've had [was] seeing just how low quality this sort of medical care can," Professor Handelsman told the hearing.
Jack Vaisman, CEO and founder of AMI, did not speak at the hearing, it is reported.
