Love for pets becomes a condition for acceptance in a relationship as many Brits are willing to dump their partners incase they resent their pets.

Earlier research had underlined the bond between owners and their pets, pointing out the emotional benefits that pets bring to their lives.Having a pet at home has been known to relieve stress, reduce aggression and help elevate mood.

Nearly 25% of women said they will not mind dumping their partner if he disliked their pet. Nearly one-third of the women surveyed said they are okay with spending the night with their pet, leaving the comforts of their own bed, if their pet was ill. 

So, in matters of the heart, pets do have a big say!
