A survey has found that around 62% of Britons dealt with mental stress at some point of their life. Mental health charity Together had commissioned this survey in order to mark the Mental Wellbeing Week.
The survey also found that 70% of people had suffered stress, 59% from anxiety and 55% has dealt with depression. "This research shows that mental health and wellbeing is an issue relevant to most people, not just those with diagnosed issues," said Liz Felton, CEO of the charity. The survey also found that 32% felt they were cracking up, while 69% had taken some measures to keep themselves away from social activities.
"We hope the results go some way to try and reduce the 'them and us' mentality about the topic that can lead to stigma, and perhaps prevents some people from seeking help, or talking about what they're going through when they need to," Ms Felton added
