Fortis Healthcare has announced that it has completed the redevelopment work at Chennai’s Malar hospital which it had acquired two years ago. Fortis also revealed that it will be changing the name of the hospital to Fortis Malar, adding that the new hospital will provide cutting edge treatment in cardiology, cardio-thoracis surgery, neurology, gynecology, gastroenterology and paediatrics.
Inaugurating the new hospital, the state minister for health and family affair, M R K Paneerselvam said “Tamil Nadu is the hub of medical tourism and has seen a rise in the number of patients seeking medical care. It is encouraging to see leading hospitals take interest and develop the health care scene in Chennai.”
