In a tragic incident, a 34-year old American died in a Colorado hospital just four days after donating a part of his liver to his elder brother who was suffering from an incurable liver disease. Ryan Arnold agreed to donate a part of his liver tissue after the doctors revealed that his brother, Chad Arnold, needed a live donor as soon as possible in order to prevent further deterioration of his liver.
However just two days after the surgery, Ryan was rushed to the Colorado hospital after suffering from a heart attack and though the doctors managed to resuscitate and place him on life support, scans revealed that he had lost all of his brain activity and died two days later.
An emotional Chad revealed that though he will take some time to recover completely from his surgery, he wants to spread Ryan’s story to as many people as he can. The 34-year old has set up an education fund for Ryan’s three children and revealed that more and more people are donating to the cause with the fund having already grown to $17,000.
