Ahmedabad. A man suspected with avian influenza infection was Saturday admitted to the Civil Hospital here.
Qadar Abubhai Marghiwala, a 30-year-old resident of Jamalpur neighborhood of the city, was suffering from fever for a week.Gujarat's Health Minister Ashok Bhatt, however, denied Marghiwala had bird flu as primary investigations revealed negative results.
According to Bhatt, the blood samples of the patient were sent to Delhi and Pune for further tests.
