R 'n' B singer Mariah Carey has dismissed rumours that she is ill. The grapevine was soon at work after she cancelled a number of her appointments. The singer however maintains that the recent schedule change is "no big deal".
Carey, 39, had cancelled an upcoming appearance at a televised concert in New York on August 12, leaving teen star Miley Cyrus to fill in for her.Following that, the release of her new album 'Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel' was postponed for a second time, it had been slated to hit stores on August 25, but will now have to wait till end of September.
With so many cancellations and postponements, rumours of ill health started to circulate.
But a representative for the singer is adamant that the delays are nothing to worry about.
"These dates have been postponed and not cancelled. Record release dates change all the time," the Daily Express quoted Carey's publicist Cindi Berger as telling People.com.
"It's nothing unusual and it doesn't signal anything. There are a lot of moving parts to Mariah's professional life. It's no big deal," she added.
