Medtronic’s Continuous Glucose Monitoring System Receives FDA Approval
Minnesota-based medical technology company Medtronic has revealed that it has received approval from the Food and Drug Administration for its next generation Professional continuous glucose monitoring system, iPro2.
The company said that the Professional CGM can be used by healthcare professionals to get a complete picture of a patient’s glucose control and can be used to record low (hypoglycemia) and high (hyperglycemia) glucose excursions which can lead to more serious health complications.

iPro2 will help healthcare professionals to get more information on how diet, medication, and daily activities affect glucose levels in their patients. This information can be used to tailor treatment regimens for optimal control of blood glucose levels.
