Orissa's Balasore and Bhadrak districts had some 300 women sick with nausea, skin rash and swelling on the arms. "Fifteen seriously ill women were admitted at the hospital and most others were released after anti-allergic treatment," Chief Medical Officer of Bhadrak, Bhagaban Dixit, said.Dr Sumanta Das, a skin specialist at Balasore District Headquarters Hospital said the allegry was caused by a chemical reaction of the skin with mehendi.
