More Than Half of Fashion Industry Workers Not Satisfied With Their Jobs
Underlining the lack of job satisfaction in the fashion industry, a new study has found that more than half of workers in the industry are dissatisfied with their jobs
More than 1,300 workers in different disciplines with various degrees of seniority and expertise, were surveyed in a poll conducted by recruitment firm 24 Seven, only 48 percent of the employees have said that they are satisfied with their current position which is 51 percent last year and 60 percent in 2011, the New York Daily News reported.

The survey also found that money may not be the problem for this dissatisfaction as 33 percent of those surveyed received a salary increase of at least 10 percent in the last year and the average rise was of 6 percent.

Only 14 percent of those surveyed said that they were highly satisfied with their job.

86 percent of those people surveyed also confessed that they were looking for a new job or are open to a different position.

In 2012, 70 percent of respondents gave the same response.

Overall satisfaction with work-life also showed a decline, from 69 percent to 64 percent.
