Anne Marie, the mother of Ryan Gallacher is suing Townhead Health Centre, Glasgow, for 2.5 million pounds after her son suffered a heart attack at the dentist’s office in 2002.
The 6-year-old boy had a a tube-like device fitted to protect his airway, but lawyers for his mother allege that the device was removed when he was still under anesthesia, triggering a heart attack that has left him with "significant brain damage."The Sun reports that Greater Glasgow Health Board has denied the claim. Lawyers for the boy's mother, Old Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire, say the boy has suffered a cardiac arrest before he was resuscitated. He now has difficulty communicating and has memory problems.
