Rahul Aggarwal, the producer of Sahara One's reality show 'Biggest Loser Jitega', says he wants to change the lives of people through his show by making them health conscious.
Hosted by Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, the show showcases 16 obese participants competing to lose weight. The participant, who loses the maximum amount of weight, will be the winner.'My show is not only meant to entertain but also educate the audiences about the health hazards associated with obesity. Obesity is a grave health problem in India as 55 percent of the urban population is obese. Also two out of every five children is suffering from the disease,' Aggarwal told IANS.
'Through my reality show I want to change the lives of both participants and viewers by motivating them to be health conscious,' he added.
Aggarwal also agrees that reality shows, which are the success mantras these days, provide an alternative to viewers looking for variety.
'Reality shows are successful because they capture the attention of audience looking for something different other than the routine programmes.'
After producing films like 'Manoranjan' and 'Love In Nepal', the boom witnessed by the television industry enticed Aggarwal to venture into the field of small screen production.
