Australia - The scientists from the Menzies School of Health Research (MSHR), in Darwin, are ecstatic, following a path breaking research in the treatment of vivax strain of malaria.

Australia - The scientists from the Menzies School of Health Research (MSHR), in Darwin, are ecstatic, following a path breaking research in the treatment of vivax strain of malaria.

Finding effective treatment for malaria has been a challenge and this study is perhaps the first of its kind to combat drug resistant strains of vivax malaria found in the Asia pacific region.

It is estimated that about 40 percent of people worldwide are exposed to the risk of vivax malaria. Nearly 250 million victims are from the Asia Pacific region.
