Letrozole - a new breast cancer drug lowers estrogen levels far more effective than the most popular current therapy, shows study. US researchers compared letrozole with tamoxifen, using each on its own, reported the Daily Express.
They found post-menopausal women on letrozole were 20 per cent less likely to suffer a return of breast cancer over an eight-year period and 21 per cent less likely to die.
