 New Hijacking App for Smokers
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) has launched a smartphone app to hijack cigarette packets. The charity's Blippar, virtually transforms a cigarette pack into a puff of smoke, before revealing items that a smoker could afford with a week, month, or year's worth of smoking savings, Sky News reported.
Betty McBride, director of policy and communications at the BHF, said that they needed to up their game if they were to help people beat their addiction to tobacco by finding new ways to reach out to them.

A survey conducted for the 2013 campaign found that 11 percent of smokers wanted to kick the habit and 82 percent of 2,000 UK smokers surveyed had tried and failed to quit.
