JP Nadda, Minister of Health and Family Welfare said that the central government is formulating new protocols on cadaver donations.

Addressing an event organised by Dadhichi Deh Dan Samiti, the Minister said that the government is in the process of changing the laws governing organ donation and transplantation. He added that the ministry is taking steps to harvest cadaver organs and tissues so that and the government will be able to regulate their supply.



Nadda said the changing disease profile in the country and rising lifestyle diseases make it imperative that a system for safe, effective and ethical donation of cadaver organs is developed at the earliest.
