A new mattress introduced the Sleep Number can improve your quality of sleep. The mattress called ‘it’ collects information about your heart rate, breathing patterns and nocturnal movement using sensors. The bed suggests changes for better sleep via a mobile application. The big draw of this mattress is its API, which can gather information from other apps to learn what parts of your daily life are impacting the quality of your sleep. The mattress was exhibited at CES 2016 in Las Vegas.

The it, which will retail for about $1,000 when it's released this spring, is similar to the last Sleep Number mattress exhibited at CES 2015, the Sleep Number x12. The new version also incorporates the company's adjustable system that lets you control your mattress's firmness. The mattress uses the company's SleepIQ technology to learn more about user’s sleep patterns.“The it bed is made for the millennial customer who believes quality sleep is essential to their health, wellbeing and overall performance,” said Shelly Ibach, president and chief executive officer, Select Comfort. “We expect this generation, more than any other, to demand more from their mattress. The it bed makes you smarter about your sleep, connects to your outside world and offers a holistic view of how your day impacts your sleep — all at an incredible value.”
