Some of its symptoms are muscle tremors, muscle rigidity, decreased mobility, stooped posture, slow voluntary movements, and a mask-like facial expression. One of the treatments of this disorder is the drug Levodopa. When given in conjunction with this, the new drug Rasagiline is said to lessen the off hours (hours during which any drug has least effect) of Levodopa by about half-an hour daily. This is good news for patients who have been suffering from this disorder for very long and find their body resisting the effect of the drug Levodopa.
