New Wireless Glucometry System Makes Diabetes Management Easier for Children
A new US study finds that management of children with diabetes is a worry for 96% of parents.
Parents experience tension headaches, anxiety attacks, lack of concentration at work and losing their temper due to stress related to the management.

Now, Roche Diabetes Care, a company committed to advancing technology that empowers people with diabetes to focus on the daily wins of managing diabetes, introduces the new Accu-Chek Connect system.

The system is designed to simplify diabetes management and offer peace of mind to parents and caregivers, and a newfound sense of independence to children living with diabetes.

The system is a diabetes management system that consists of the Accu Chek Aviva Connect meter, an app and an online portal that allows children, caregivers, and healthcare providers to view, share, and access blood glucose data anytime, anywhere.

In addition, a doctor can activate an insulin calculator on the app, the Accu-Chek Bolus Advisor, which makes it easy to calculate how much insulin is needed at each meal.

The Accu-Chek Connect app is the first FDA-cleared app with a built-in prescription insulin calculator for use on iPhone and Android smartphones or tablets.

The simple-to-use meter wirelessly sends blood glucose results to the Accu-Chek Connect app on a smartphone. Results can then be sent through auto-generated texts to parents and caregivers, and the child's healthcare team to help keep them up to date and so they can provide guidance as needed.
