If an official is found neglecting his duties and is unable to curb diseases like malaria, his increments could be cut up to a period of three years, said a notification issued by the state's personnel department.The new rule would apply to senior, junior and chief officers of the medical and the health departments and will apply till March next year.
Also, if any official is found guilty of negligence, he or she could be suspended, but after obtaining permission from the personnel department.
