A large number of male students between 16 and 20 years of age want to seek professional help in order to overcome their pornography addiction, a new study reveals.
In the poll, which was conducted by the University of East London, a fifth of the boys surveyed said that they were "dependent on porn as a stimulant for real sex", Metro.co.uk reported.

According to another UK publication, the university questioned 177 students about viewing adult sites and discovered that 97 percent admitted to viewing porn.

Moreover, less than a fifth also revealed that they have tried to stop watching but could not, while 13 percent said that what they did watch had "become more and more extreme".

The findings further revealed that 7 percent respondents wanted to seek professional help for their habit.

Amanda Roberts, who is a psychology lecturer at the university and the creator of the study, said that the ubiquitous nature of porn was causing difficulties for the male students.
