24% Porn Viewers Are Young Women; Most Watch Porn on Their Smartphones for 9 Minutes

If the trend of women viewers continues to rise, it's a definitely possibility that porn would be produced with both male and female fantasies in mind.

While the core audience for porn is predominantly male, there has been a significant surge in women porn viewers among the millennial generation i.e. among those born after 1980, revealed an interesting study done by popular porn web platform Pornhub for Mic.com - a New York-based website focused on news for millennials.

The study revealed that while 76% of the millennial porn viewers are men, 24% of millennial porn viewers are women now. The Mic study said, "Perhaps if this trend continues, we will get to a place where porn is produced with both male and female fantasies in mind."

The data suggests that 60% of porn-watching millennials watch it on their smartphones while only 33% watch porn on computers. The average time spent on a porn site visit is nine minutes and 10 seconds. People aged 35 years and above spend more than a minute longer, clocking in 10 minutes and 15 seconds. Saturday was found to be porn’s least popular day of the week while Monday was the most popular day among millennials to catch some action online.

The study found that ’Lesbian’ is the most popular search term, however data suggests that the people searching in this category are not actual lesbians. Kim Kardashian was reportedly the most popular adult star.
