Nurses in the Ontario province of Canada are demanding strict laws to ensure the use of sterile disposable safety needles as they feel that are in the risk of unwanted transmission of blood pathogens. Risk of hospital workers // to blood borne diseases is high due to accidental needle pricks of unsafe needles. The three unions of Ontario, The Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA), the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) say jointly organize the demonstration stressing the use of safe needles.
