Old Men Advised to Ride Women’s Bicycles to Avoid Injuries
Researchers from Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, advise elderly men to ride bicycles designed for women to avoid accidents and injuries.
The study analyzed the data of accidents and injuries involving bicycles driven by old men. It was found that 119 injuries during the period 2007 and 2011 occurred while mounting or dismounting the bicycle.

The old people most often suffered from hip injuries while getting on or off their bicycles. Hence, the authors have advised old men to ride women’s bicycles with low crossbar.
