Online Dating to See a Big Boom Over the Next Couple of Decades

A new study has predicted that more than half of couples will be meeting one another online over the next two decades.

The research by online dating site eHarmony suggested that by the year 2031 one in two relationships will start over the internet, and by 2040, seven in 10 will meet through online communication, the Daily Express reported.

The dating site also predicted that the boom will contribute more than 256million pounds of consumer spending by 2030, which will be a rise of 81 percent compared to present time.
