Oral Cancer Affects Briton Who Spent 21 Years in Prison

Kenny Richey, who spent 21 years on death row in an American prison was devastated to learn that he has mouth cancer. The 43-year-old was released from prison last year after he clinched a plea deal.

Last January he returned to Britain, but says that he was devastated to learn about the oral cancer, "After spending 21 hellish years in prison I thought I had been given another chance at life," he told the Scottish Sun.

The cancer, which is located inside his right cheek is due to be surgically removed next week. Richey was convicted of arson for a January 1987 incident in which a two eyar old girl called Cynthia Collins died in Ohio.
