Clinical research in India costs has become very easy and cheap compared to other countries, which has lead to an increased outsourcing of clinical research to India.

Outsourcing in the field of IT can be taken as a boom to the economics and development of India, but Outsourcing in clinical trials is a great havoc to India, as humans are becoming a source of experimental animals and being exploited.

Due to intensive and strict Animal guidelines using animals in India too has become a very problem, so the drug companies have shifted their trials to humans rather to animals.

India has a rich man power of very skilled and intelligent research and development scientists and also has a great population of people with many diseases and the non exposure of these people to drugs make them more interesting for the drug companies to test their new drugs.

India has 30 million people in India have heart diseases, 25 million have type-II diabetes and 10 million suffer psychiatric disorders, and notes recruits in India are more likely to comply fully with the trial processes. An other important reason for considering India for clinical trial is availability of man power at a comparatively cheaper salaries, it is estimated that 20-30 percent of cost is saved by hiring clinical researchers, nurses and IT staff from India in addition to costs associated with patients.

The report also says India's newly adopted guidelines on "good clinical practices" and "patient consent norms" are in line with global rules, while saying commentators have also questioned consent from illiterate patients.
