Seven in 10 Australian mothers are blissfully happy with their lives and more than eight in 10 find motherhood to be very fulfilling, a poll has found.
A poll has found that seven in 10 Australian mothers are blissfully happy with their lives. Satisfaction levels seem to have risen with more than eight in 10 finding motherhood very fulfilling. The Galaxy Research poll was conducted exclusively for The Sunday Telegraph.
According to the survey, which included 1269 mothers, three per cent of the total polled confessed that they felt unhappy, while 77 per cent never regretted having children, despite feeling burnt out and overwhelmed at times.
But 22 per cent admitted regrets on some days, though only one per cent wished they had remained childless, reports News.com.au.
Galaxy principal David Briggs said: "I think the fact they are a happy lot is very important.
"What I find is that, for those with kids, the highs tend to be significantly higher than can be achieved by couples without kids.
"But the lows are correspondingly low, so I suppose having kids brings out the best and the worst in life.
