Rock star Ozzy Osbourne says that getting rid of smoking was more difficult for him than to conquer his addictions to drugs and alcohol.

The former hellraiser, who quit his nicotine addiction in the late 1990s, is satisfied that he has not gotten hooked to smoking again. He revealed that before he had kicked the butt, he used to cover himself with nicotine patches.

"They're all a b**ger to kick, but I'd have to say cigarettes," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"I used to cover my whole body with (nicotine) patches. I looked like a f**king mummy.

And I'd still smoke! Then my heart would start beating like crazy and I'd break out in sweats.

But one day I just said, 'Enough of this s**t.' And I quit, just like that," he added.
