Philips Launches Five New Health Gadgets
Philips Healthcare launched a wearable connected ecosystem. The Personal Health Program features five new smart devices including a body analysis scale, an ear thermometer, two blood pressure monitors (upper arm and wrist) and a health watch that serves as the hub along with the HealthSuite Health app for iOs and Android.
Philips’ products are designed to offer a fuller and more actionable health picture. All the devices are considered medical grade and FDA approved.

Each device connects to a central mobile app for tracking bio signals and activity data. The devices are to prevent and manage diabetes and heart disease.

“Philips is not in the world of fitness,” said Eline de Graaf, Director for Philips Personal Health Solutions. “That’s not our mission, and as a healthcare company, we don’t think that’s where we can add value. We’re in the connected health space, and target consumer who are at risk of chronic diseases.”
