Atlanta: Researchers in Atlanta have reiterated that knocking off a few pounds and engaging in regular physical activity may prevent onset of arthritis.

Atlanta: Researchers in Atlanta have reiterated that knocking off a few pounds and engaging in regular physical activity may prevent onset of arthritis. Doctors found nearly 31% of the obese suffered arthritis along with 21 percent of overweight adults against only 16% of arthritis sufferers from the normal weight range.

The National Centers for Disease Control have communicated the results conducted from national surveys conducted between 2003 and 2005, that more than 46 million adults in the United States have got arthritis, gout, lupus or fibromyalgia, a rheumatic condition in which people experience pain. At this rate, the CDC feels that nearly 67 million US adults will be affected by 2030.
