Plan of Action by UC Irvine to Rectify Conditions at Dialysis Center
A surprise inspection conducted at the Dialysis center in The University of California, Irvine, revealed the unhealthy conditions prevailing in the center, which can pose a grave risk to patients’ health.
State inspectors were shocked to find chairs and walls stained with blood spots. Equipments were rusted and nurses did not take care to change their gloves while treating patients at the facility.

The dialysis center might stand to lose the medical funding if the conditions did not improve.

As a first step, UC Irvine has hired a new medical director. Staff has been retrained and a new nurse manager has been hired. All equipments have also been serviced.

A plan of correction has been submitted to the California Department of Public Health.
