The treatment advocacy center has advised that police personnel’s should work as mental health workers which could reduce the crime rate involving psychologically disturbed persons.
The executive director, Treatment Advocacy center, Mary T. Zhanowicz, reports that police officers should engage themselves in providing mental support and treatment to people with mental illness//. Law enforcement officers can mentally support and provide care and help to mentally ill persons and prisoners who are psychologically disturbed and there are increased chances of these mentally ill persons involving in unlawful incidents which can lead to arrests and deadly encounters. The treatment advocacy center executive director has called up on all the police officers to work as mental health workers which would help to understand and reduce the crime done by mentally ill persons.
