Fruits and vegetables have always been lauded for their blessing to health, and here is another powerful one from the bountiful basket.
A recent analysis of 11 exclusive studies, carried out by a group of researchers from the Medical School of the University of Naples in Italy ,that studied the lives of over 2 lakh adults, found that potassium rich diet can cut the risk of stroke to a great extent.

According to team leader Dr. Lanfranco D’Elia, potassium is found in abundance in most fruits and vegetables, and people would do good to consume more of it.

The study is published in the journal of the American college of cardiology.
